Public Housing Authorities Directors Association Scholarship: There are three scholarship categories for seniors who are living in public housing or in the housing voucher program. Information taken directly from news release:
One scholarship will be awarded to a student following an academic educational track, and the other to a student following a vocational track.
The Independent Order of Odd Fellows (IOOF) is an old and honorable organization, dedicated to helping others in need through acts of benevolence and charity. We are also dedicated to helping build a better world through building stronger bonds with our fellow men and women.
The award will be based on essays, submitted by the interested candidates, that discuss HOW THEY WOULD INTEND TO USE THEIR LIVES AND EDUCATIONS TO MAKE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE. Candidates will be judged by a three-person panel, and the decision of the panel will be final and unappealable. Personal interviews with finalists may be requested.
Candidates will be college-bound high school seniors bound for higher educational institutions, who reside in the Counties of Indiana and Jefferson.
Essays should not exceed 250 words. Entries should be typed, and signed. They should be submitted to: IOOF Scholarship, Alert Lodge #936 IOOF, P O Box 26, Rochester Mills, PA 15771. Please indicate in which category you wish to be considered.

CNB Bank Scholarship Applicant must be a graduating senior with intentions to further their education at a college or university and seeking a business-related degree. Women of the Moose Scholarship
The following information is taken directly from information received by guidance office:
- Must be a graduating senior.
- The applicant's father, mother, aunt, uncle or grandparent must be a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose or Women of the Moose in good standing or applicant must live in the household of such as member under his or her care.
- GPA 2.0 or higher
- Must plan to enroll in any college, university, technical or business school by the fall 2017.

- Deadline: To Mrs. Lambie by March 22. She will be mailing applications as a group on Monday March 23. (no exceptions)

Eligibility: Applicant must be a girl graduating from Homer-Center, Indiana, Purchase Line or Blairsville/Saltsburg School District this year accepted at an accredited college or university to study education. See Mrs. Lambie for a copy of the application.
American Association of Drilling Engineers: Appalachian Chapter AADE Scholarship
Eligibility: Graduate from high school with an GPA or GPR of 3.5 or above; Scored a minimum 27 on the ACT, or minimum of 600 in Math and 600 in Critical reading on he SAT; Be enrolled in an accredited college in PA, OH, or WV; Be a citizen of the United States of America; and Submit a fully completed and signed AADE Scholarship application.

PLEA (Purchase Line Education Association) Scholarship
The PLEA Senior scholarship is awarded by the Purchase Line Education Association, your teachers' association, to a deserving senior graduate each year. The scholarship is a $300 per year award, renewable for a total of 4 years. Recipients must remain as full-time students at an accredited institution and maintain a 3.0 grade point average on a 4-point scale to be considered for renewal each year. Recipients must contact the Purchase Line Education Association in writing each year and submit a registrar's transcript of grades for renewal.
See Mrs. Saylor or the Guidance Office for an application. Write a brief essay stating why you believe you are a worthy candidate for this scholarship. Limit your essay to one typed page, double spaced. In your essay, please state your career goals, detail your financial needs, and, if selected, how you would use this award to further your education. Candidates indicating future careers in education will be given first consideration.
