I would like to welcome you to the 2019-2020 school year. As the new Junior/Senior High School Principal, I want you to know how excited I am to work with you and your children. Prior to being hired as the new principal, I taught in the Purchase Line School District for 22 years. I taught at the North Elementary for 7 years before coming to the Junior/Senior High School to teach reading. It is my mission to make our school a safe place where students come to get a well-rounded education. RESPECT is a word you and your child will hear from me often. I believe that we need to teach our students/children to respect their classmates, the adults who work with them, and most importantly- themselves. We need to be a team and work together to best support our students. Communication between home and school is essential. Children need to know that we are working together to help them be successful in school. Teachers are working diligently in the educational setting to ensure that all students know the learning intentions for each lesson. It is important that they know how they can be successful. It is necessary that all students come to school unless they are ill. Students who don’t come to school on a regular basis are not as successful as compared to those who attend regularly. Please have conversations with your child about school. Ask them how their day was and what they learned. Show them that school is important to you. I look forward to having conversations with you and please feel free to stop in, call, or email me. I want to wish luck to our fall sports teams/extra curricular groups: Cheerleading, Cross-Country, Football, Golf, Marching Band and Volleyball. Go Red Dragons!
