Welcome back to a new school year! Although this is not a typical start to a school year, I hope everyone is excited to be back! After not being in school in the spring, we are so glad to have students walking our halls again. We have opened with a hybrid schedule and we are using the Edgenuity platform and Google Classroom platform. This is new for everyone so thank you for your patience as we navigate these unchartered waters. Having said that, it is time to make sure students are understanding course work and expectations with logging in to do their schoolwork. As a general rule, students will probably need to spend at least ½ hour per subject for the days they are at home working. For example, if a student has 7 classes, the student should be online actively working for at least 3 ½ hours. Teachers, school counselors, the school social worker, and administrators are all trying to connect with parents and students at home to help with this transition. Please have open communication with these professionals to better help your children. Please make every effort to return calls and stay in contact with your child’s teachers and school counselor. Purchase Line has tried to go above and beyond to help our students during these trying times and we will continue to do this. Tutoring at the high school has started and now we are welcoming students into the building on Fridays to get help. Please stay positive and don’t be afraid to ask questions. We are here for our students and parents!
