The YMCA of Indiana County is happy and excited to manage the Miracle League of Indiana County. The Miracle League makes dreams come true for people with disabilities who just want to play baseball like their brothers, sisters, and friends.  Volunteers are essential for this league to be a success and registration is open for anyone interested in helping. There are opportunities for everyone as long as they are 12 years of age or older. See downloads at the bottom of the page for Volunteer Registration form and other information.

 

American Red Cross
The Red Cross is seeking volunteers age 15 years and older. They are looking for a commitment of at least twice a month of volunteer service over the summer for a minimum of 40 hours. Volunteers would be responsible for providing their own transportation to and from blood drives. To register as a volunteer, students will need to fill out a volunteer application and attend a training session. Volunteers will assist at area blood drives by greeting the blood donors and/or providing refreshments to the donors after their blood donation. Horizons Hospice - Altoona, PA
The VolunTEENS are needed for a variety of jobs. Wome work directly with residents at long-term care facilities; others assist with office work, maintain our office space, and perform a multitude of other tasks to support our organization and patients.
