Course Description: There are quite a few concepts we will cover in this short nine week course! The first is Coding. Technology has a language. It’s called code. It is believed that coding is an essential skill and that is why we continue to work with programming language in this course. Learning to code teaches you how to solve problems and work together in creative ways. It helps you build apps that bring your ideas to life. Everyone should have the opportunity to create something that can change the world. The Everyone Can Code program lets anyone learn, write, and teach code. We will also be working with various online applications as you continue to develop essential skills using some of the best technology and software applications.

 

Students will be provided with a computer and additional resources for class when appropriate. It is recommended that students have a binder or folder (either physical or virtual), a writing utensil and school agenda when they come to class.

Note: This year in class students will be using the online learning management system Google Classroom. This resource is accessible from any electronic device with a reliable Internet connection. Students will view lessons, have access to course resources and submit assignments through this platform.
