Digital Learning and Online Citizenship is all about how to be a responsible online learner. We will discuss cyberbullying, staying safe online, and learning how to be a digital leader. Students will also continue to develop a basic understanding of software and hardware and how to troubleshoot common technology issues. By the end of the course, students will have the tools they need to be academically successful in both traditional and digital learning environments. Additionally, students will practice touch typing skills and be introduced to basic Coding/Programming concepts.

 

Preparation for Class:
Students will be provided with a computer and additional resources for class when appropriate. It is recommended that students have a binder or folder (either physical or virtual), a writing utensil and school agenda when they come to class.
Note: This year in class students will be using the online learning management system Google Classroom. This resource is accessible from any electronic device with a reliable Internet connection. Students will view lessons, have access to course resources and submit assignments through this platform.
