Course Description: Exploring Technology is a nine week course guided by a STEAM curriculum. STEAM is an educational approach to learning that uses Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics as access points for guiding student creativity, communication, and critical thinking. Rather than teaching STEAM as separate and discrete subjects, we integrate them into “interdependent” learning units to solve real-world problems through hands-on learning activities and creative design.

 

Students will be provided with a computer and additional resources for class when appropriate. It is recommended that students have a binder or folder (either physical or virtual), a writing utensil and school agenda when they come to class.

Note: This year in class students will be using the online learning management system Google Classroom. This resource is accessible from any electronic device with a reliable Internet connection. Students will view lessons, have access to course resources and submit assignments through this platform.
