Career Planning & Development
Course Description:
Without a firm foundation, the shift from high school to college or high school to a career often throws students for a loop. This career planning and development curriculum will equip you for the transition into the “real world” by developing critical skills like decision-making, communication, problem-solving and adaptability. Our goal is to explore your interests and options beyond high school, plan for the future, and develop the skills you need to be successful in achieving your personal, educational, professional and financial goals.
Preparation for Class:
Students will be provided with a computer and additional resources for class when appropriate. It is recommended that students have a binder or folder (either physical or virtual), a writing utensil and school agenda when they come to class.
Note: This year in class students will be using the online learning management system Google Classroom. This resource is accessible from any electronic device with a reliable Internet connection. Students will view lessons, have access to course resources and submit assignments through this platform.
