There are three keys to being successful.

1. You will be given an agenda for class each day.  You need to finish those assignments to the best of your ability each day.  You need to be here and stay focused on the goals for each day.

2. You will have to spend time outside of class on the long-term assignments: Study Island and /or Reading Counts in order to complete what is due by the due date.

3. If you don't understand something, you need to ask and you need to try.

If you just go through the motions and never try to understand or to challenge yourself, then in the end you will have only faked it.

That is not learning; that is not success.
