Mrs. Rebecca (Bracken) Bouch is a native of Mahaffey, PA.  She is a 1994 graduate of Purchase Line High School.  She graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 1997 with a BS in Music Education.  She was in the IUP Marching Band under the direction of Dr. Charles Casavant, where she was section leader of the BariTuba section her senior year.  She was a euphonium major and a piano minor.  She also performed in Concert Band and Symphony Band under the direction of Dr. Jack Stamp.  She marched in the Macy's Day Parade in 1996.

She was the Harmony Area School District music teacher from 1998-2000.  From there, she has been employed at Purchase Line as the elementary band director from 2000-2012.  Presently she is the Purchase Line director of bands from 2012-present.  

She returned to IUP to receive her Masters of Art degree in 2005.  Her thesis, "Recruitment, Retention and Attrition of Rural Band Programs in Western Pennsylvania Schools" is recognized by the Thompson Symposium for Thesis Review by Penn State University. Mrs. Bouch also received the District 3 PMEA Citation of Excellence award for excellence in Elementary Band Teaching in 2008.  She served on the PMEA District 3 Board as the Band Fest Coordinator from 2012-2017.

She is married to her husband, Dale, and has three stepchildren; Dale, Jr, Alex and Casey.  She has two cats, Gizmo and Slash.
